This time, the ninth volume of Akashic Records of the Bastard Magic Instructor has finally been published.
I offer my Infinite gratitude to the editors, everyone involved in the publishing process, and to all the readers who have supported Bastard Magic Instructor! Thank you so much!
Now, with this ninth volume, the story of Bastard Magic Instructor reaches a major turning point. As the story progresses, the characters, having gone through various experiences, are inevitably forced to change, whether they like it or not. They have no choice but to evolve, for better or worse. There’s no such thing as a person who remains unchanged.
Readers might sometimes feel that a character seems “inconsistent” or “different.” However, that’s the result of the internal growth they undergo after experiencing and reflecting on the events within the story.
I hope you’ll warmly watch over how these characters—both the guys and the girls—continue to change and grow as the story unfolds.
Also, in this ninth volume, the fragmented puzzle pieces that have been scattered throughout the story, forming the building blocks of the Bastard Magic Instructor world, finally start to come together, revealing the bigger picture. Don’t worry, it’s all fine! This isn’t some wild, sprawling mess of a story that’s just throwing things out there without a plan! It’ll all come together properly, I swear! (trembling voice)
And while I have the chance, I’d like to say one thing about this ninth volume—
“I absolutely adore that girl.”
I don’t dislike anyone, mind you… but I won’t say who I’m talking about here.
Lastly, the Bastard Magic Instructor anime went by in a flash. Every week, I watched with a grin as the characters I created moved and came to life. As an author, I’m truly grateful to the anime staff for giving me such a joyful experience. Thank you so much, and great work! For the first volume of the anime Blu-ray, I, Hitsuji Taro, poured my heart into writing an exclusive short story over 200 pages long. It’s a fun tale featuring many of the Bastard Magic Instructor characters in action. If you’re interested, I hope you’ll pick it up. That’s all for now!
