Afterword
Hello, Hitsuji Taro here.
This time, the eighth volume of Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor has been published.
I offer my infinite gratitude to the editors, everyone involved in publishing, and to all the readers who have supported Bastard Magic Instructor. Thank you so much!
And especially to the readers who have sent me encouraging letters, thank you truly! I treasure and read every letter you send!
Now, regarding this eighth volume, the sixth and seventh volumes had quite intense developments, so I aimed for something a bit lighter, like a palate cleanser.
The spotlight this time is on Re=L-chan. Glenn and the others leave the familiar Alzano Empire and set off for a new destination, St. Lily Magic Girls’ Academy. What they encounter there—well, I aimed for a slapstick comedy vibe.
With a slew of guest characters in this new setting and the backdrop of a girls’ school, I thought this volume turned out to be a particularly peaceful and vibrant story…
“Wait, this eighth volume… isn’t it basically doing the same stuff as always?” (Friend’s comment)
…Just leave me alone.
And!
The TV anime Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor, set to begin airing in April, is finally approaching! When the anime was first greenlit, it felt like some far-off event in a distant, alternate dimension… but now, the reality and excitement are finally sinking in.
I can’t thank the anime staff enough for pouring such incredible passion into its production. Thank you so much!
At this point, the anime version of Bastard Magic Instructor is no longer just mine as the original author—it’s a work brimming with the passion of so many people. Everyone, please look forward to it. I humbly ask for your support.
