This time, the tenth volume of Akashic Records of the Bastard Magic Instructor has finally been published.

I owe my infinite gratitude to the editors, everyone involved in the publishing process, and to all the readers who have supported Bastard Magic Instructor. Reaching the milestone of double-digit volumes is entirely thanks to the many people who have supported this story along the way. Thank you so much.

Now, about this tenth volume… as the author, I can’t help but feel, “Wow, we’ve finally made it this far, huh?” Looking back, this story began with my old, cringeworthy black history notebook… and somehow, it’s grown into something respectable. It’s deeply moving to think that even a case of chuunibyou, when taken to its extreme, can become a tangible form that endures.

That’s right—chuunibyou isn’t something to be ashamed of; it’s something to be proud of! Sure, these days there’s a tendency to mock chuunibyou as painfully embarrassing, but I wholeheartedly object! All creative endeavors of the spirit begin with chuunibyou! It may seem immature at the time, but that’s only because it’s still unpolished! It holds the immense potential to one day bloom into a magnificent flower! Chuunibyou is the alpha and the omega!

Yes, Hitsuji… it’s time you forgave yourself. That painfully embarrassing black history notebook is why you’re here today. You can hold your head high now…!

“I’m not afraid of anything anymore!”

So, with this tenth volume as a milestone, I decided to revisit my roots with pride and opened that infamous black history notebook for the first time in ages.

But—

“That’s odd… I should be filled with pride, but I can’t stop trembling or feeling dizzy… Is this the urge to scream into my blanket!?”

—Yeah, I definitely shouldn’t have looked.

Putting that aside, with this tenth volume, Bastard Magic Instructor has reached its halfway point and enters the second half.
