Afterword
My favorite character is Tachibana-kun!! Yo, it’s Aborn here.
Seriously, Volume 2 is out. I was half-doubting even Volume 1 would make it, but Volume 2 is legit out. And it’s got a completely different story from the web version.
The start of Volume 2 had that super popular heroine race, right?
Rinka, baring her jealousy, and Tachibana-kun aggressively going after Kazuto-kun…
This is guaranteed to be a huge hit! Heh!
…………
Yeah, even I think it’s kinda wild.
Originally, Tachibana-kun’s homo arc was a scrapped episode from the web version.
When my editor asked for a plot for Volume 2, I threw in the Tachibana-kun homo arc as a joke, fully expecting it to get rejected. And guess what?
Editor: “Tachibana’s homo bit? This is great lol. I think it’s a go.”
…Seriously?
Uh, Editor-san, are you exhausted or something? I hear editing’s a brutal job…
Well, I thought it was fun, so if it’s a go, I’ll write it.
And while I was at it, I tossed in Kazuto-kun’s family background, which was originally just a hidden setting.
So, just like with Volume 1, I wrote Volume 2 on pure momentum.
Honestly, it feels a bit like I messed up. I’m… slightly regretting it…!
No, I had a blast writing it. Seriously, it was so much fun.
But maybe, just maybe, I went a little too wild with what I wanted to do…
Well, I charged forward with momentum, so no point looking back now!
For Volume 3, I want to write a story so crazy it’ll blow your mind.
…If they let me write it, that is!
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to everyone.
To the readers who’ve supported me since the web version and Volume 1, thank you so much.
To Kanda Done-sensei, who drew adorable illustrations for Volume 2 as well, thank you.
And to my editor, who said Tachibana-kun’s homo arc was interesting, thank you.
To everyone who’s supported and cheered me on, my heartfelt thanks.
