Alone in a Room With a Beautiful Girl in Defenseless Cute Pajamas Volume 1 Afterword

Afterword

While writing, it’s always a battle against sleepiness. So, I usually eat something to forcibly keep one of my senses active, preventing myself from dozing off at the computer—.

I mentioned something like that in the afterword of another work recently, but I forgot to bring up the ultimate writing companion I discovered. I just had to share it here.

Pachi Pachi Panic!

Some of you might already know it, maybe even use it as a work buddy. That’s right, the Pachi Pachi Panic!

As the name suggests, it’s one of those popping-candy snacks that fizzes in your mouth.

Kids absolutely love it.

There’s the discontinued WataPachi, Thirty-One’s Popping Shower, and some ramune candies with popping chips mixed in, I think.

Pachi Pachi Panic takes just the popping part from those (with a few small ramune bits included).

You probably get how amazing this is already.

If you took the “Pachi” out of WataPachi, you’d just be left with “Wata,” right? Popping Shower without the “Pachi” feels kinda lacking, and ramune without those popping chips is just plain ramune.

So, how about that? The importance of “Pachi.”

And if there was a snack that extracted only the star of the show, the “Pachi”…

I bet plenty of people have been living their whole lives searching for this.

Honestly, until just the other day, I’d been living without knowing about Pachi Pachi Panic!

I stumbled across it by chance at a candy store, thinking, “What’s this snack?” When I tried it, I was blown away.

Not only is the taste great, but every bite makes your mouth pop and fizz. That bursting sensation is fun, sure, but it also keeps you focused, so sleepiness doesn’t creep in.

Plus, it’s super cost-effective—online, it’s just a bit over 40 yen per pack. There are about three flavors, and it seems you can use it as a topping for desserts too.

The only slight downside is the calories—about 20 kilocalories per 5-gram pack, including the ramune bits… but if you savor one pack slowly over a night, it’s totally fine.

Highly recommended.

Now, acknowledgments.

To Tadano Yukiko: I was moved to tears seeing the cover in color. Thank you for shaping the heroine so adorably! Getting to see your illustrations was my lifeline. Thank you so much.

To Editor S-sama: I’m always, always in your debt. I’m beyond grateful we could safely launch this new series. Thank you for all your advice this time too.

To my readers:

Thank you for picking up this new series and for sticking with me until the very last page of this book!

This book was born from the burning passion that a girl in pajamas is just so cute, right? I’d be thrilled if you felt even a bit of the heroine’s charm. I’m on SNS every day, so I’d love it if you’d share your thoughts there. Here’s hoping we meet again in Volume 2.

Under the orders of my homeroom teacher, I ended up helping my classmate, Makura Koiro, with her supplementary lessons. When I went to her apartment, where she lives alone, I was greeted by Koiro in her pajamas, even though it was already noon. As we talked, she seemed to take a liking to me, and invited me into her room, causing our relationship to suddenly become much closer! “Hey… want to slack off together?” Perhaps because she felt comfortable around me, Koiro, still in her cute pajamas, let her guard down completely. We played games, ate meals together, and before I knew it, we were even napping side by side… Thus begins a happy, laid-back romantic comedy, spending special time with a beautiful girl in pajamas!
