What did you think…? This volume focused on the District Selection Battle, centered on the internal affairs of District Four, where Shinohara belongs. I aimed to amp up both the game and rom-com elements (by our standards), so I hope you enjoyed it. I’m avoiding spoilers, but the new character turned out exactly to my taste, and writing her sent my excitement through the roof.
Now, a quick announcement. Some of you may already know from Twitter or other platforms about a month before this book’s release, but Liar Liar is getting a manga adaptation…!
A manga adaptation! A MANGA ADAPTATION!! (It’s important, so I said it twice!!)
Those six words alone bring an overwhelming sense of joy. I can’t stop grinning. I haven’t stopped since I first heard about the manga and saw the initial character designs and rough sketches (call me suspicious if you want). It hasn’t even been two years since my light novel debut fulfilled a lifelong dream, and now another dream is coming true—it feels like a dream itself, and I’m beyond thrilled. I want to keep this going and have so many more dreams to chase, so I’ll keep working my hardest!
