Afterword
First and foremost, thank you for picking up Volume 6 of The Story of How a Beautiful Foreign Student Who Lives Next Door Started to Visit My House After I Helped a Lost Little Girl.
Also, to everyone involved in the production of Volume 6, thank you so much for your constant support.
Thanks to all of you, we were able to release Volume 6 like this.
As always, I’m filled with nothing but gratitude…!
…How should I put it… It feels both like we’ve already reached Volume 6 and like we’ve finally made it to Volume 6, doesn’t it?
It’s been over two years since Volume 1 was released, hasn’t it?
Time really flies by so quickly.
I’m truly grateful that we’ve been able to keep going like this.
It’s all thanks to the production team’s support and the readers who’ve purchased this work.
Thank you.
…Now that I mention it, I just realized something.
Two years since release?
That means—it’s been nearly four and a half years since I first wrote Otonari asobi as a web novel. (laugh)
Thinking about it like that, it’s been quite a long time.
And really, time passes so fast.
Originally, after getting hooked on light novels and starting to write seriously, this was my second work, so among everything I’ve written on the web, it’s one of the veterans.
It was the work I wrote on the web right after my debut work, Lonely Otaku, and since I only had about two or three works written on the web before Lonely Otaku, it’s really one of the old-timers.
I’m thrilled and deeply moved that a work like this has seen the light of day commercially and has become something that can continue for so long.
I secretly hope it could get an anime adaptation someday… or so I quietly think to myself. (laugh)
(Well, I’m not exactly quiet about it since I’ve been shouting “I want an anime adaptation…!” all over SNS, so it’s not quiet at all.)
Also, I’m personally thinking about ways to make this work even more vibrant and to do things that readers who love Otonari asobi would enjoy, so I hope I can pull those off well.
The plans are just in my head for now. (laugh)
I absolutely love the world of Otonari asobi myself, and not just Charl and Akihito-kun, but also Emma-chan and all the other characters, so I want readers to enjoy it even more.
Now, it’s about time to touch on the contents of this volume, but honestly, I didn’t expect to be able to write the scenes toward the end.
I wrote it the way I wanted to, thinking that if there were any issues, I’d get feedback and fix them from there.
But—it went through almost as is, with only a few minor issues in expression, so I was surprised.
And I was happy, too.
Since I got to write exactly what I envisioned, how could I not be happy?
There might not be many rom-com works that dive this deeply into such content.
I know of some works that include those kinds of scenes, but it’s probably a tricky thing in various ways.
For this work, I’d be happy if you think of it as a bit of spice.
The main focus of the story is meant to be enjoying Akihito-kun and Charl’s lovey-dovey moments, Emma-chan’s adorable clinginess, and the resolution of the problems they face.
It’s more like, as an extension of their lovey-dovey moments, those kinds of things might happen too~ or something like that.
…Since Charl loves Akihito-kun so much, those kinds of developments might increase—maybe. (laugh)
Akihito-kun’s rationality might get in the way, but can he really resist Charl’s cute pleading…? (laugh)
With new characters appearing in this volume, I hope you’ll look forward to the next one as well!
(If we can release the next volume…!)
—With that, I hope we can meet again next time!
Once again, thank you so much for picking up Volume 6 of Otonari asobi!
Let’s meet again in the next volume, bye-bye!
Author Introduction
Neko Kuro
It’s been a while.
Living practically together with a beautiful girl next door—pretty enviable, right?
It’d be so much fun if they became playmates.
You’d probably be shocked if it actually happened, though.

They’re totally like a newlywed couple. Thank you so much.
I had a blast drawing the illustrations this time too, with a nicha grin.
